How can I expand the palette of colors in the Rapid Resizer?
It might help to know that you can copy a color or texture from a pattern piece to the palette by clicking on a palette button then right-clicking on a piece.

There is a trick to do that: Open your pattern in the Rapid Resizer From the Edit menu choose Copy From the Edit menu choose Paste
